The interior of the Lodge was beautifully decorated with stunning mirrors and shutters that added an elegant touch. We were delighted to find a welcome box in the kitchen, which was a nice gesture. The views from the terrace were absolutely breathtaking and provided the perfect spot for enjoying our morning coffee and evening wine. The location of the Lodge was also fantastic, serving as a great base for exploring the picturesque Peak District. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and provided a quiet escape. The soaking tub was a luxurious treat after a long day of hiking. Despite the lack of wifi, it was actually quite nice to disconnect and be 'unplugged' for the weekend.

While the Lodge had many positives, there were a few drawbacks to note. we found that there was only one regular mug and a coffee mug, forcing us to constantly wash them.

Beautifully renovated property ideal for couples. Remote location, no phone signal, which was actually a benefit. Lovely interior with tasteful mirrors and shutters. Appreciated the welcome box in the kitchen.

The Lodge in Cressbrook exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views of the dale and the beautifully furnished interior. The log fire added a cozy touch, perfect for those stormy nights. The hosts even went above and beyond to make my partner's birthday special by arranging decorations and treats. The location was fantastic, offering easy access to various walks in the area. We loved the complimentary supplies provided by the hosts, it was a thoughtful touch. Despite the lack of internet and challenging drive, the remote location added to the charm and made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this wonderful property for a memorable holiday.

During my recent stay at The Lodge, I was blown away by the stunning views that surrounded the property. Whether I was in the cozy rooms or even in the bathroom, I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the beauty outside. It truly provided a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a much-needed break from the city. The small towns and friendly locals in the area added to the charm of the experience.

Although there were a few minor inconveniences such as limited internet access and the need to wash dishes frequently due to the lack of mugs, these were easily manageable and did not overshadow the overall experience. The lodge itself provided all the necessary facilities, including well-equipped kitchen appliances, a washing machine, and an iron.

The location of this lodge was perfect, with plenty of beautiful hiking trails within walking distance. We were able to explore the stunning countryside of the Peak District with ease.

The space in the lodge was a bit limited, especially when it came to storage for suitcases. It would have been helpful if there was more space available.
