The interior of the Lodge was beautifully decorated with stunning mirrors and shutters that added an elegant touch. We were delighted to find a welcome box in the kitchen, which was a nice gesture. The views from the terrace were absolutely breathtaking and provided the perfect spot for enjoying our morning coffee and evening wine. The location of the Lodge was also fantastic, serving as a great base for exploring the picturesque Peak District. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and provided a quiet escape. The soaking tub was a luxurious treat after a long day of hiking. Despite the lack of wifi, it was actually quite nice to disconnect and be 'unplugged' for the weekend.

While the Lodge had many positives, there were a few drawbacks to note. we found that there was only one regular mug and a coffee mug, forcing us to constantly wash them.

As women traveling alone, we felt right at home at The Lodge. The clean and comfortable house offered amazing views of the Monsal Dale. The soaking tub was perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking. The terrace provided a peaceful spot for enjoying our morning coffee and evening wine. We also appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the thoughtful provision of toiletries.

It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Helen provided excellent suggestions for places to eat, shop, and visit, making my stay more fun. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing getaway.

Beautiful 18th century property with stunning views, especially from the bath. Perfect location for walks from the front door. Excellent host, provided food on arrival. Lovely extras like cereal, coffee, biscuits, and eggs. Friendly and quick response to any issues. Tranquil break from the city.

During my recent stay at The Lodge, I was blown away by the stunning views that surrounded the property. Whether I was in the cozy rooms or even in the bathroom, I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the beauty outside. It truly provided a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a much-needed break from the city. The small towns and friendly locals in the area added to the charm of the experience.

Although there were a few minor inconveniences such as limited internet access and the need to wash dishes frequently due to the lack of mugs, these were easily manageable and did not overshadow the overall experience. The lodge itself provided all the necessary facilities, including well-equipped kitchen appliances, a washing machine, and an iron.

The location of this lodge was perfect, with plenty of beautiful hiking trails within walking distance. We were able to explore the stunning countryside of the Peak District with ease.
